Dear {{first_name|agent}},
Let’s get this out of the way:
I don’t care if you love Bad Bunny.
I don’t care if you love Kid Rock.
I really don’t care which side of the internet you’re on this week.
Because none of it is paying your mortgage.
None of it is building your net worth.
None of it is signing your next listing.
And here’s the uncomfortable truth most agents don’t want to hear:
Culture wars are the new procrastination.
They feel productive. They feel righteous. They feel important.
But they quietly steal your focus, your time, and your income.
While agents argue about celebrities, politics, and hot takes…
disciplined agents are stacking listings and buying freedom.
That’s the game. Let’s talk about how to win it.
The Real Divide Isn’t Political — It’s Productive vs. Distracted
Every market cycle creates a new distraction:
Elections
Interest rates
Lawsuits
Celebrities
Social media outrage
Brokerage drama
Most agents consume it.
Top producers ignore it.
Not because they’re uninformed — but because they understand leverage.
Here’s the difference:
Distracted agents react to the world
Wealthy agents design their week
One group scrolls.
The other group executes.
Truth bomb:
Your income doesn’t respond to your opinions. It responds to your actions.
Screenshot that if you need to.
Your Job Isn’t to Have Takes — It’s to Hit Targets
Real estate is not complicated. It’s boring done well.
You don’t need more motivation.
You need clear minimum standards.
Not goals.
Non-negotiables.
Here’s the framework I want you to adopt immediately:
Set Your Minimums (Not Your Dreams)
Dreams are optional.
Minimums are mandatory.
Monthly Minimum
5 listings signed
Weekly Minimum
3 listing appointments set or held
Daily Minimum
2-3 hours a day of real prospecting
No distractions
No multitasking
That’s it.
You can exceed it.
But you never go below it.
When agents tell me they’re “slow,” I ask one question:
“What are your daily minimums?”
If they can’t answer instantly, that’s the problem.
The Distraction Tax Is Real (And You’re Paying It)
Let’s do some uncomfortable math.
Say you:
Scroll social media
Argue in comments
Watch clips
Listen to outrage podcasts
Just 45 minutes a day.
That’s:
3.75 hours per week
~15 hours per month
~180 hours per year
That’s a full month of work wasted annually.
Now imagine reallocating that time to:
Calling old clients
Asking for referrals
Booking listing appointments
Following up properly
What’s that worth?
One extra listing a month? Two?
This is why some agents feel “stuck” while others quietly pull away.
They’re not smarter.
They’re not luckier.
They’re less distracted.
The Wealthy Agent’s Weekly Filter
Before you consume anything — news, social, podcasts — run it through this filter:
Does this directly help me:
Get a listing
Convert a lead
Improve my skill
Build long-term wealth
If the answer is no, it goes after your work — not before.
Top agents earn the right to consume.
Most agents consume first and hope motivation shows up later.
It won’t.
Motivation follows momentum — not the other way around.
Simple Scripts That Actually Make You Money
Instead of debating celebrities, use scripts that convert.
Here are three you can use this week.
Past Client Check-In (2 minutes)
“Hey [Name], quick check-in. No real estate pitch — just wanted to see how you’re doing and if there’s anything you need. And by the way, who do you know right now that’s thinking about buying or selling?”
Listing Appointment Close
“Based on everything we discussed, the question isn’t if we sell — it’s how much leverage you want in the process. Do you want me handling this for you, or do you want to keep interviewing agents?”
Follow-Up Revival
“Hey [Name], circling back because timing changes faster than people expect. What’s changed since the last time we spoke?”
None of these require hot takes.
All of them produce income.
Build a Boring, Rich Schedule
If your calendar is chaotic, your income will be too.
Here’s a non-negotiable weekly structure for production agents:
Monday
Pipeline review
Follow-ups
Listing prep
Tuesday–Thursday
Prospecting first
Appointments second
Admin last
Friday
Deal cleanup
Client touches
Referral asks
Daily
Prospect before content
Calls before comments
Revenue before reactions
You don’t need variety.
You need consistency.
Action Checklist (Do This Today)
Print this. Save it. Execute it.
☐ Write down your monthly listing minimum
☐ Break it into weekly appointments
☐ Block daily prospecting time on your calendar
☐ Remove one recurring distraction this week
☐ Use one script above today
☐ Track activity, not feelings
If you do this for 90 days, your income will change.
Not because the market improved —
but because you did.
Final Thought
The agents who win long-term don’t argue louder.
They:
Focus longer
Act faster
Build quietly
While the internet debates Bad Bunny vs. Kid Rock…
Someone else is signing your next listing.
Decide which side of that equation you’re on.
